        My Project is about how the Berlin wall came up, and all that stuff. So far I have lots of info. about the East side and the main reasons being the Soviet Union's government which is communism, but not enough to write a paper. I mean I probably do have enough to write a paper, but I think I need more. The reasons they prefer the West side is because they can work for money just for their family, which they couldn't under communism, because everyone has the same amount of money no matter how hard you work, and depending how far up you are in the communist government. The Berlin wall came up because the Soviet Union didn't want any of their people running away, so they technically trapped them in the East side of the wall. That was the start of all the problems between the two sides of the wall. The East side then blockaded the west side in and added on to the problems, the two governments didn't like each other. That's pretty much what the whole project is about.

     My Project is about Germany during the Cold war and Berlin wall, the arguments between the two governments (Soviet and Allies), and the reasons why the citizens under Soviet rule wanted to leave the Soviet's side of the Berlin wall. The main problems were that two different governments ruled one country and they couldn't compromise on what to do with the country, or how to fix it after the war. They both agreed that they didn't want Germany to be destroyed, but they wanted to fix it after the war in a way that they will be recovered, but not strong enough to fight back. The main issue that the Soviets faced were people not liking their rules and government and fleeing to the West side of the Berlin wall. The Soviets eventually decided to build The Berlin Wall to keep people from leaving the East side. People still tried to leave, so the Soviets blockaded them in hoping the Americans would leave and let the Soviets have Berlin. The Americans saved their side by having an airlift and delivering over 2.3 tons of goods, it lasted over a year. The reason all the problems happened because of the communist view of how they want power, and not trying to just save Germany.
